I met Nora when I began my "for sale by owner" journey. Nora gave me friendly advise and kept in touch. As time went on I became to busy to manage the showings and the intricate details of selling the property. That's when I remembered Nora's advice. I sent her a quick text to advise her that I was interested in hiring a real estate agent to list the property. Nora responded almost immediately. My property was listed within 72 hours and we were at closing within a month. Nora was supportive, candid, and very responsive to my needs. I was in a hurry to find a place as I was transferring due to a new job. I came into town on Saturday. Nora had researched all possible properties that met my needs and arranged for me to see them. After seeing these properties, we made an offer in a multiple offer situation and got it accepted before I left town that afternoon. Nora listened to my needs, stuck to my budget and put my priorities first. She was even there on move in day to make sure the sub-contractors that were coming to do a couple odd jobs did what they were supposed to and completed their work. This is a review I wanted to write for so many reasons. My contact with Nora Howard from EXP realty was an internet referral that ended with a 5-star experience. Somehow a click brought us together. That being said, little did I know it was going to end up with me buying a house off the internet. Something I said I would never do. What are those famous last words, "never say never". I feel I was not the typical home buyer. I say that because of my story. My husband and I were living in France. We chased a dream and were 7 years into our adventure when he unexpectedly passed away. Left alone in a foreign country with two standard poodles and a shattered dream, my only thought was I need to move back to my homeland. In June I arrived back to the states with two standard poodles in tow, no house or place to call home. I felt I spent day and night on the internet looking for that perfect place, also a place I could start a new life. After 3 months of contemplating where I wanted to call home, I decided on Summerville, SC. With that decision the hunt began and Nora came to the rescue. She totally understood where I was coming from. We talked, she asked a lot of questions, and most of all she listened to my wants and needs. Unexpectedly the perfect house came on the market. The house was listed on Friday and I bought it on Sunday. Nora didn’t find me a house she found me a home. We arranged a video walk through, and I said, “Nora I won’t buy a house without physically seeing it.” She said, "let’s just go take a look.” We did the video tour, not just on the house, but the neighborhood. Also, the surrounding area. That night was a sleepless night. All I could think about was that the house seemed perfect, but who buys a house on the internet? I did, with Nora’s expertise. She was great beginning to end. I closed in 3 weeks. She handled every detail and accompanied me at the closing. After the closing she made a date and drove me around and showed me where to shop, and some great local restaurants. Nora was on top of every detail from beginning to end. We lived in Hickory, NC and she went to homes and videotaped them, kept in contact with us and was very genuine in wanting to help us. We came down for a weekend and went to many homes. She saw an open house and we ran over and it was “our” house. She expedited the process and kept in constant contact with not only us but the other realtor, mortgage lender and law firm.
